If you think that being on holiday is no excuse to miss your daily exercise routine, then you’re in luck. All around the Kamptal valley, there are countless ways to get your pulse racing. A large network of trails provides ample opportunity for Nordic walking in the morning, an invigorating swim in our pool is a perfect way to cap off the day, while a wine hike is an ideal combination of pulse and pleasure.

Never without my sticks

If you like walking with sticks in hand, don’t hesitate to ask for some walking sticks at the reception desk—and then head off for the marked trails.

Through the Langenlois vineyards, over gentle hills and winding paths, discover the region’s natural splendor. Ranging from beginners’ routes to more demanding options for experienced walkers, the Kamptal valley has a plethora of Nordic walking trails to explore. Pro tip: Make sure you work in a rest every once in a while and enjoy the view.

Scenic run

If there is one thing the Kamptal valley has to offer in addition to delectable food and wine, it is space aplenty and impressive nature in spades. Come and see for yourself and be amazed at the fantastic vineyard views.

A signposted network of running routes leads along loess walls over the idyllic banks of the Kamp River and along golf courses. Whether you’re looking for a full workout or a leisurely run, runners of all levels will find what they’re looking for on Lower Austria’s running trails. Some of the runners who have already been here have recorded their routes.

Hiking through wine country

A day out in nature? What a delight! Silence, switching off, time to let your thoughts wander, look around and breathe freely. That’s worth a hike already.

One thing is for sure: Hiking in the Kamptal valley and around Langenlois is a special experience. Charming cellar alleys, vantage points with maximum wow factor and spectacular paths will make you want to spend time outdoors. Our favorites include the Langenlois city and wine trail, the Schiltern garden trail, the wine and water trail along the Kamp or the tour to the lookout point Gobelsberg.
